TItanis was a gaint bird of terror that was one of the first of its kind to move out of south america and into north america. Titanis would run down prey at up to 25 mph and use its beak to kill prey by swinging it down pickaxe style onto prey, killing it in seconds.

From the group know as the terror birds, they were isolated in South America. As it collided with North America and the Panama was formed the Terror Birds migrated. Rather than being large and strong like Klenken Titanis evolved to be fast to catch quick prey such as the primitive horse shown in the picture.
